Is Stephen Colbert A Coward?!?
The Challenge Has Been Issued. Will He Accept?
We have challenged Stephen Colbert to give the 'Colbert Bump' to an entity that is not well-known. If he can help us raise $350,000, in addition to naming it "The Stephen T. Colbert House," Habitat for Hamtramck pledges to have at least a full-sized mural of his face painted on the side of one of our houses, if not create a 360 ° replica out of the house in the likeness of his head.
Note: The original goal of Habitat for Hamtramck was to raise $70,000. The challenge is to see if Stephen Colbert can give a significant enough 'Colbert Bump' to help us achieve five times that goal. With or without Mr. Colbert's help Habitat for Hamtramck will proceed with its mission of rehabilitating blighted houses in the Hamtramck area of Detroit and then giving them away to families that can help further the positive redevelopment of the area.
